The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Saturday reported receiving multiple alerts about the fall of drones and suspicious objects in various areas across the Kingdom.
The incidents resulted in material damage to a house and a vehicle at a single location in the Ramtha’s Thanibeh region, the PSD said, noting that no injuries or further damage were reported elsewhere.
A PSD statement revealed that security and military teams were handling the situations and had launched investigations.
Authorities renewed their warning to the public against approaching any suspicious objects, as they may contain explosive or toxic materials and pose a serious danger. PSD said that a drone crashed in the Al Azraq District on Thursday, injuring two children.
Also on Thursday, police said that a drone crashed in Amman’s Abu Nuseir, causing damage to a vehicle and a bus stop shelter but resulting in no injuries.
PSD said that a suspicious object fell on the roof of a school in Mafraq Governorate on Thursday and no fire or injuries were caused.
The PSD urged citizens to immediately report any such incidents through the 911 emergency hotline and to allow specialized teams to safely manage and investigate these cases.
Since the start of Iran-Israel air war on June 13, several flying objects have been spotted over several parts of the Kingdom. Flying objects are believed to be Iranian missiles and drones launched towards its arch-foe Israel.
