The Yershovy Sisters have triumphed in TG4’s talent series Réalta agus Gaolta 2025. After right weeks of tough competition, the Yershova Sisters emerged as the winners.
The exciting final saw the Furey Cousins, Connor and Fin, secure second place. Kseniia (19), Yevlaliia (17), Olena (15), Nataliia (12), and Sofiia (8) moved to Ireland from Ukraine over three years ago to escape the war.
Having captivated both the judges and the audience with a mix of Irish-Ukrainian folk tunes on violin and cello in their initial heat, the five Yershova sisters went on to perform a stunning rendition of Jack Horner’s Braveheart theme as their winning performance on Sunday night.
Their community in Listowel quickly recognised their remarkable talent and generously donated instruments to the family; they were further supported by the Cork School of Music, where two of them study.
Not only did the talented sisters lift the trophy, but they also received a prize of €2,000. The family’s winning performance, along with all episodes, can now be viewed on TG4 Player.
