Jakarta: PonteSud – News Desk

“The economic growth rate is targeted at 5.1-6 percent in 2026 and will continue to increase until 2030,” he stated at the Plenary Meeting to Commemorate the 498th Anniversary of Jakarta City on Sunday.

Furthermore, Jakarta’s inflation in 2026 is expected to increase to 2.4 percent and continue in line with economic growth.

According to Pramono, the Provincial Government has considered various macroeconomic projections to continue strengthening economic and development policies.

Including the implementation of the 4K strategy, namely affordable prices, availability of supply, smooth distribution, and effective communication, he continued.

“We also encourage food BUMDs, regional-owned enterprises, to expand cooperation between regions to ensure efficient and equitable food distribution and strengthen food security in Jakarta,” the governor conveyed.

This effort is expected to support the realization of sustainable economic stability, he said. Moreover, along with Jakarta’s role as a modern and connected global city, the city must be able to transform while maintaining its cultural roots.

Therefore, preserving the arts, traditions, culinary, and placing Betawi cultural icons in public spaces are considered strategic to keep the city’s cultural identity relevant in every aspect of people’s lives, Pramono stated.

He mentioned that Jakarta’s future development is directed at realizing connectivity and synergy between economic, social, and cultural activities.

The Provincial Government has also prepared various programs to increase synergy that supports the development of creative economic tourism in the city of Jakarta.

One of them is the opening of Sentra ASEAN in Blok M area, followed by the revitalization and rebranding of the Blok M Terminal.

“We will make the Blok M area a shopping, entertainment center, as well as a cultural, creative, and collaborative space,” Pramono disclosed.

Other programs include activating events in the Kota Tua area, encouraging tourism through the promotion and development of the Betawi Cultural ecosystem, launching the “Jakarta Tourist Pass,” and highlighting Betawi themes and icons in various corners of the city.
