Police were called to the scene Sunday night, where they found the actor injured near the road. He had been shot multiple times. The first aid provided at the scene was not enough and he was pronounced dead a short time later. The perpetrator tried to flee but was arrested a few blocks away on charges of murder. According to TMZ, the attack allegedly started after an argument with a neighbor.
Josh had lent his voice to John Redcorn from the second season until the end of the series, succeeding actor Victor Aaron who had lost his life in a car accident in 1996. The series “King of the Hill”, created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, aired on Fox from 1997 to 2009 and is preparing to return this August through Hulu, with Josh having already completed his new recordings.
In addition to his role in the animated series, he had participated in several television productions and films, such as “Parks and Recreation” (in the role of Captain Ken Hotate), “Tulsa King”, “Ray Donovan”, “True Grit (2010)”, “The Magnificent Seven (2016)” and others.
