Moscow: PonteSud – News Desk

Saudi Arabia has successfully trained 334,000 citizens in artificial intelligence (AI) through a nationwide initiative launched in September 2024, according to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority.

The programme, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, aims to equip citizens across all age groups and professions with essential AI skills.

Among the national initiatives linked to the programme is the National Olympiad for Programming and Artificial Intelligence, which drew participation from over 260,000 students from intermediate and secondary schools. Of these, 10,000 students advanced to the final stage.

As part of its long-term vision, Saudi Arabia aims to integrate advanced technologies into the national education system, support sustainable innovation, and enhance learning outcomes using AI tools and frameworks, the source claims.

This large-scale training initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader effort to build human capital and digital capabilities in line with Vision 2030.
