A Historic Cultural Exchange
This exhibition marks a milestone in Italy’s cultural landscape. It is only the second time Egypt has loaned such an extensive collection, following the Egyptian Art exhibition at Palazzo Grassi in Venice (2002-2003). The partnership between Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities and the Italian Embassy in Cairo has made possible the inclusion of treasured artifacts from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Luxor Museum, and an exclusive contribution from Turin’s Museo Egizio.

Unveiling Priceless Artifacts
Among the highlights are iconic artifacts arriving in Italy for the first time:
- Menkaure Triad – A monumental Old Kingdom sculpture featuring Pharaoh Menkaure alongside goddess Hathor and the deity of Thebes, exemplifying sacred kingship.
- Golden Coffin of Queen Ahhotep – A masterpiece of New Kingdom funerary art, its elaborate gold covering signifying the queen’s divine connection.
- Necklace of Golden Flies – A prestigious military honor, symbolizing Queen Ahhotep’s pivotal role in Egypt’s stability.

Exploring Egyptian Civilization
Through six themed sections, visitors will engage with the profound artistry and spirituality of ancient Egypt—from statues of Ramses VI and Thutmose III to ceremonial jewelry, sacred artifacts, and everyday objects. A special segment spotlights the Golden City, a groundbreaking discovery revealing daily life during the reign of Amenhotep III and Akhenaten.
Curated by Dr. Tarek El Awady and accompanied by a catalog written by Dr. Zahi Hawass, the exhibition is designed to captivate audiences through lectures, guided tours, and immersive workshops.
