Vilamoura Marina has received the award for “Best Portuguese Marina” for the 14th consecutive year at the Publituris Portugal Travel Awards 2025 ceremony, held on July 3, at the Vila Galé Collection Elvas Hotel.
This distinction recognises the high level of customer satisfaction at Vilamoura Marina, the quality of the nautical services and infrastructure available, and the ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability, recognizing the marina as an example of success.
Vilamoura Marina was a pioneer in Portugal and occupies a leading position in the recreational boating scene, continuing to be the largest marina in the country, with 825 mooring berths, a fully equipped shipyard and a professional sailing training center. It hosts national and international events, such as regattas, Olympic sailing team training camps and the Vilamoura Marina International Boat Show.
The award comes after the recent inauguration of the New Vilamoura Marina, which includes three pontoons with 68 berths for large vessels between 20 and 40 meters, equipped with the latest technology, contributing to user comfort and environmental sustainability.
This award comes at a particularly important time, following the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Vilamoura Marina and the inauguration of the New Vilamoura Marina, an investment that reinforces Vilamoura’s ambition and vision for the future. The new area includes three pontoons and 68 new berths for boats between 20 and 40 meters.
The nominees for the Publituris Travel Awards 2025 were chosen by the Publituris editorial team, based on the work developed throughout the period under review (2024), capacity for innovation, media visibility, national and/or international distinctions, and official statistical data, among others.
